Chilli... om nom nom
Discussion
Just put this lot in the slow cooker... 1kg beef mince (browned), three diced peppers (red, green & orange), four large diced chillies (2 red, 2 green, with seeds), a diced onion, dried chilli flakes, passata, some beef bouillon, a splash of thai fish sauce, seasoning, and a bit of water. It'll cook for a few hours.
Towards the end I'll add red kidney beans and some chopped parsley, and also the secret ingredient... a couple of squares of dark chocolate. I'm still not sure if I should add some Dave's Gourmet Ghost Pepper sauce as well... probably going to taste it later before I make a final decision. Time to put Andrex in the fridge for tomorrow!
Will be serving some of the chilli topped with grated cheese and sour cream, and accompanied by some garlic pizza bread. I'm really looking forward to it! Pics to follow later. The rest of the chilli will be had tomorrow or Monday, they say it's usually even better after a day or two.
Do any of you have any interesting or unusual ingredients that you like to put in a chilli?
