Here's food for thought. I'd be surprised** if after you remove Andy Murray from the equation the combined sporting income of the 18 mens footballers probably overshadow the total sporting incomes of the other 522 athletes in team GB and yet they still manage to go out on penalties... again.
Just goes to show that sometimes you do not get what you pay for!

I suspect** the direct economic benefits of hosting the Olympics will not live up to the hype, but the feel-good factor for the nation may very well have been worth every £M

I was in London last night and it was so busy they were queue at most underground stations at 11pm. I would say that many businesses in London are benefiting, just hope that effect gets outside of the capital......
