Following an excellent run with some friends (East Lothian > Borders > Northumberland > North Berwick) I parked my chimaera in a small village, popped into a shop for 2mins and when I came out some tt had reversed into it then cleared off. Remarkably they had pushed the car back some 10ft over a junction, more amazingly my 12yr old son was still sitting in it (with the roof off!!)!! A couple of people who saw it tried to stop the vehicle but it wasn't for hanging about.
My son was a bit shocked but coped admirably and even took a note of the registration with the help of the witnesses, The other saving grace was before I had a chance to move the car from its new parking position a police van appeared, I duly flagged it down and the boys in blue took all the details and witness statements - hopefully the reg given will lead to the chancers being caught (the colour certainly matched!!)

Grr Fume....mad

NB - For the record on the earlier run was two Tuscans, a VXR8, a Porsche and my Chimaera - the sun had shone, the roofs were off and a great blast had been had. rolleyes

Nothing to severe thankfully, damaged the paintwork along the front of the bonnet and o/s/f headlamp/wing area. Will keep an eye on it though as any stress cracks will not appear for a day or two.

Gone are the days when someone does the right thing and stop and own up. What a complete prick ! I can't believe they did that with people watching as well. I hope they catch them and make them pay.

That's really ste, hope your lad and your car are okay. Doesn't surprise me though, we were parked outside a shop the other day and my wife and the shop owner were putting something in the boot of my car and a woman reveresed right into their legs! If I hadn't been banging on her window she'd have ploughed straight through them both and into my car as well.

Later in the day, another dopey old cow scuffed the front bumper of my car while it was legally parked by pulling alongside the car tooooooooo closely.

They are everywhere the dozy gits.

Kudos to your son for keeping calm enough to get the registration in a difficult situation. Here's hoping the culprit gets their comeuppance for this!

Wow. Accidents happen but not stopping is pathetic. Hope it's not a stolen car or uninsured driver.
Hope your son is still smiling. I would be so angry if someone did that to my child.

That is terrible! Glad your lad is okay. Do keep in regular contact with the Police as this needs to be pursued and the culprits brought to book. Well done in getting the plate, hope you get justice.
