166 oil loss?

my 2001 2.0 ts 166 has lost some oil, 560 miles i have done and topped it up with about 3/4 of a pint of oil, i hear they do lose some oil, but this much? also do these cars have a cable for the clutch pedal or are they hydrolic?

A litre (just under 2 pints) every thousand miles is not unusual, in fact the Alfa handbook states this as the norm. Check there's no emulsifying of the oil under the filler cap or that the water in the header tank doesn't have an oil film. These engines are prone to head gasket failure.
