I can't seem to find any good rechargeable for my flash. I had an old set of hannels that I thought were broken as they only seemed to last about 10 flashes until the recycling times were unacceptable. I bought a new set of uniross about 2500mah batteries and have the same issue but a little odder this time. After a few uses they seem unable to charge the flash from cold. If I get a new set use for a bit and switch back they work ok. It seems much better with alkalines but I don't really want to keep paying for them. Equally I don't want to waste any more money on rechargeable nimh without the guts to run the equipment. Any personal experience out there for what works and how long for?

Interested to hear view on this myself. Have had exactly the same issue with my 430ii, perfect with alkalines, drains rechargeables (good, high Ah ones) in a few shots.

I always use Sanyo Eneloop rechargeables in my 580s and 430s. Not found anything better personally.

I use Energizer Rechargeable 2450 mAh. They're quite old now, but never disappointed me.

I'm using some cheap 7dayshop ones in my flashes and they've been fine so far if that helps.

Cheers guys the eneloop, energiser and 7dayshops are all well received online from what I can see. Eneloops were what I favoured due to the amount of time it can hold a charge. I worried the 430 may need a higher nominal voltage than a rechargeable could deliver but if your getting good results I'll give them a shot.
