Seems all to common on PH to post up a rant about some moronic driving you've seen on your day to day travels, and to be honest I agree. It seems pretty every car I follow is doing something wrong, or if not technically wrong, just annoying. I honestly can't remember the last time I followed a random MOP and thought 'This guy knows what he's doing'.

Have you recently been impressed with someone elses driving? General roadcraft, manners, progress, everything at a standard that you as a PHer would expect?

I live on the Isle of Wight, and sadly it never happens. frown

The other night when I was driving home from work, a colleague and I followed a local armed police unit back for most of the journey home. Excellent anticipation, good road positioning, carrying pace where it was safe to do so etc etc. Makes a change from the usual event of only seeing taxis on the roads at those times, and we all know how badly they are driven! Those S60 T5's can shift as well!

i followed a bloke in a Audi A3 a while back for roughly 5 miles on fairly built up roads, dual carriageways etc and his gap management, use of brakes and general driving was great. I actually thought his brakes lights were broken as he didnt use them at all for ages whereas usually in that sort of scenario i get stuck behind someone sitting 5cm from the bloke in front, on and off the brakes 40 times a second or conversely someone who leaves 400m gaps for everyone to cut into!

Just got back from Brighton on the A23 and was with a Mercedes C220 CDI which was very well driven- good progress, signalling as appropriate, courteous etc etc. A rare occurrence.
