What car - Small Automatic ?
Discussion
I'm looking for a Small Auto for the misses Sister who has just passed her test.
My default suggestion was a K11 Micra but she's doesn't like them. Ideally looking for a suggestions based on a car you know about, and possible problems. Needs to be a reliable bumper car for a year. Looking to spend no more than £1500.
to Sum up
£1500 to Spend.
Automatic
ideally no more that 1400 but could poss go to 1600, would need to check insurance first.
Ideally a hatchback
3 or 5 door, no preference.
No MX-5 is not the answer as needs to have 4 seats

I was going to look at that at the weekend, but the seller never picked up the phone or called back from messages left. Did test drive another, but it would not change own a gear when off the throttle, just sat there driving along at 400rpm. and the seller did not understand why i was not interested!..http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/use...
206 look to be good buys for year / money / miles. but still not 100% convinced on them, felt VERY cheap.

Ar these any good as an Auto, I agree smart looking car, before they messed them up with the updated grill. but reliability of gearbox may worry me. Are they a Normal Auto ?

the sister is in her 30's so insurance not a problem mostly, Older car would be no good for her, neither her or her husband have any idea about cars, hence just needs to be reliable, we live 50 miles away from them, so i don;t want calls saying it's borked can you come and have a look.i cannot get insuraed on modern cars for under 2.5k
