Hi all - I'm hoping that the PH Massive will be able to help me out.

I'm looking for suggestions for a family holiday.

Starting this weekend (Saturday preferred, or Sunday) - for a week. 2 adults, 2 children (5 and 4). Near a beach that's suitable for sandcastles(!) and with family entertainment in the evenings (i.e. kids entertained whilst adults get drunk). Also, stuff to do during the day (crazy golf, pools, etc). We don't currently have a tent but if the budget allows it, we could get one and therefore camp.

Has to be UK as one child doesn't have a passport and would rather not spend £110 on a one-day renewal!

Budget is <£1,000 (ex. spending money) if possible.

We'd also like a part of the country with the greatest chance of good weather, which appears to be eastern England judging by current forecasts.

Any one able to help?

Thanks,
Phil.

Yeah - Norfolk is a definite consideration. Thanks for the link - unfortunately it doesn't appear to have a kids evening show, which my two will probably put as "essential"!

Thanks smile

How about the good old Haven parks?

Devon cliffs on perran sands near newquay both get my vote, and meet all your criteria.

Thanks. Unfortunately, neither has appropriate accommodation left for us. smile

There's a Haven in Shanklin as well isn't there?

That way they bet a boat/ferry trip as well.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. We've decided to go near Great Yarmouth, with Havens (I think?!)
