Just a Quick question .

Has anyone fitted a Blaupunkt DAB Digital Car Radio 'Woodstock 53' in a Elise.

Its time to change the Kenwood for a DAB unit.

How easy is it to fit the ariel? What is the reception like?

New to piston heads.

Cheers - Gary

Hi Gary, I can't comment on this particular model of stereo but fitting a stereo to an Elise that has the fitting kit in it i.e. the cables and a basic chassis is a piece of pi55. Took me about 4 minutes! Really easy, don't go paying Halfords 40 quid to do it!

Actually Gary, i see you're in Berkshire, so am i. If you need a hand let me know and i'll pop round. But it really is easy. The DAB reception should be a great improvement over the standard, so good luck.

Cheers D4V KC

I fitted the Kenwood when I bought the car oh so many years ago.

I gather that a DAB ariel is different from the standard cp

IIRC, the Woodstock 53 is standard kit for 111r's with Touring Pack. It does need a special aerial, separate from the usual FM type.

If you look here, there are various options which can be bought together with the head unit.

Hope this helps!
