Protecting alloy wheels
Discussion
I've had the good fortune to 'win' a set of 21-year-old BMW BBS wheels on eBay for £60, which are immaculate. They even have the original Dunlop tyres which were made at the start of 1990!
BBS wheels are hard to clean and I want to protect their original condition and prevent dust from sticking. Which product do you lot recommend?
First post in B&D so sorry if this is an obvious/frequently asked question.

For maximum effectiveness and longevity then one of the nano type sealants such as GTechniq C5 or Nanolex Alloy Sealant really are the business. However they do cost, can be fussy over temperature and humidity, require a scrupulously clean base to be layered on and you need to follow the instructions to a tee.
Alternatively a dedicated wheel wax or hard wearing body wax such as finis-wax are much more forgiving and easier to use (but clearly the cleaner the wheel the better for bonding). They're less expensive but naturally they won't last as long (although you're still looking at several months of protection).
