Newbie Abarth 500
Discussion
Hi all,
I am Garry from Chelmsford, UK
Been a petrol head in the past, with a Nissan 200SX ramped up to 342 BHP, then had kids so went boring and practical for a while.
Now is the time to have some driving fun again.
Ordered a 2012 Abarth 500, I pick it up on Thursday morning.
Can't wait.
Just wish I could get on the Abarthisti forum, been waiting approval for ages now.
Hi to all the fellow Petrol Heads.

Hi. Welcome from another Abarth owner. Check out www.thescorpionclub.co.uk
I've been doing a bit of test driving of the Abarth 500 as my wife is changing her 2 litre Beetle auto for one. Yesterday I drove the MTA auto box which was in a convertible then tried a car with the Koni kit. The MTA box is quite good and I think I could live with it as the wife prefers an auto and I can use it every now and then to blow the cobwebs out on a few country lanes I know. I did the test drive on the Koni equipped car straight after the auto and have to say the ride felt much nicer and smoother (I used the exact same route with both cars and drove one straight after the other)and on the twisty bits just felt planted anyway I've concluded we will buy one of the new 595 models
