This is where my invitation to stay here will be cancelled.
Tony has bought me a Jag
. And it's Diesel, oh the shame.
Actually it's part of the master plan. He saw and bought me an XF 3.0 S Portfolio, as a stop gap until our life gets sorted. £35,000 dealer owned and 5,000 miles.
Purposely we stayed away from XK,s and the like as it would always be a comparison to my Aston. It actually is a very nice car and I can live with it for the near future.
No Aston but a better alternative to the Mini we were going to buy as a stop gap.
Be sharing the blue Scottish maestro,s pipe and slippers now.

I had one as a loan car from Lancasters... I loved it!!!!
It was a basic-ish model but crikey it was comfy and for a diesle it was pretty bloody quick too!!!
Great car!! I particularly like the 5.0 supercharged version as well.
I had a 3.0D S XF Portfolio before my DB9. Nice car, lot's of torque and very refined. Have you got sports seats in your car? Standard seats lack lateral support, but are reasonably comfortable for up to five hours. In the end the diesel engine and the gimicky rising, rotating gear selector became too irritating and I moved on.

Yup got the sports seats with additional cold in summer and hot I winter gizmo's. Re the gear selector, identical to the Evoque so I am used to it. Literally 5 mins of ownership and it's a decent bit of kit. Softened the blow.......for now Di

Like I said priorities have changed until he/she has grown, then sports car education will hopefully kick in.

You should of bought the MINI. I've got a Cooper S as a daily driver and it's an absolute hoot to drive!
