My car will sell !

Following on from the catchy 'My car won't sell' thread I want to inform you that it will, and has!

The new owner picked up today; banker's cheque raised and banked; and drove her away.

Thoroughly decent bloke who I am sure will (re)introduce himself to you soon!

As to the replacement...the impending new house needs a garage conversion with electrically operated door; a new back door entry; decoration; new cooker; some new flooring etc etc.

Sad me but happy wife...and tbh that's whats most important to me right now.

So as they say..."so long and thanks for all the fish"...it's been a blast!

There was a clue in oblio's closing comment - who else could have bought it therefore other than yours truly!
I was saving up for a dbs and since selling my v8v to a fellow PHr, I've been suffering - everything from the shakes, to nervous twitching and even the occasional unholy dream. So I thought, "damn this, I need something to tide me over!". Anyway, saw said car, agreed a deal and picked her up this morning. I'm already falling in love - I don't think this is going to be the stop-gap that i had planned. The car has been beautifully maintained and is an absolute credit to oblio.

I also want to say what a totally fab forum this is. Without it I wouldn't have met the young gentleman that I sold my v8v to (thorougly decent chap) and I would not have met oblio - a complete gent and such a pleasure for me to have met.

I had contact with Oblio while I was in the market but knew I had a house purchase to content with I knew I had to try this being a grown-up lark , fantastic car and tbh far nicer than the car I bought, congratulations on your purchase.

NB A bank cheque raised in the presence of both myself and Slarti presents zero chance of any issue. For the uneducated: the bank take the funds from Slarti's account; hold them in a bank holding account; they raise the cheque against these funds; I present the cheque at my bank and hey presto zero issue. All done in the presence of Messrs Slaeti and Oblio.

Back this up with the fact that Slati is a true gent and I'm twice the size of him and know where he lives and voila - no drama's

There comes a time when the boy becomes the man. Thankfully slippers and a pipe are not prerequisites.
Actually starting to prefer the look compared to the v8v (which is starting to look a bit squashed to me). Strange, when I had the v8v I thought the 9 was too long(?)
