I saw a lot of Roomsters in the Alps.
I'm considering a used one to replace our Fabia.
The choice of engines is broad. The 1.2 TSI appears to be the best choice(preferably the more powerful version, but appear to be rare on the used market).
Has anybody any useful experience of these cars? How useful is the room How well do they ride/handle compare with a Fabia (or a Mk4 Mondeo)?
Would it be better than something like a Meriva (which don't appeal to me at all)?

night want to try www.briskoda.net - found lots of good info there when buying my Fabia & Octavia...
I once drove a 1.9 tdi Roomster to Milton Keynes from Kent. I was quite impressed, I was 21 at the time and they had just come out. Being 21 I didn't like the image of the Roomster at all but on the road I remember thinking that it went well and was quite comfortable.
Fast forward 5 years and I still don't like the image of the Roomster. If however you are considering things like the Meriva then I would say it's definitely worth a go.
They are practical, spacious (roomy?) and in other cars that I've driven the 1.2 is an ok engine.

Well what's a Roomster, then?
