I've just checked what mine is as I'm looking at getting in to an M3 this weekend, came back at £952 fully comp, protected no claims (4 years!) no convictions, etc... with £400 excess overall (compulsory and voluntary added together) and I'm 38....

Doesn't seem bad, considering I'm currently paying £652 on my 320d M-Sport.... although back in the day I was paying a mere £322 on my 300ZX Twin Turbo.... frown

Cheers

Try go compare.com, Put your details in and tick the box that says do you have a tracker and what make, (I put tracker retrieve as I knew they are a very good price, £169 fitted, £109 per year subscription, And it should bring your quote down massively.
I have just purchased an E92 M3 and was getting quotes around £1100, I have just had a tracker fitted and hey presto my quote came down to £720 with Swiftcover,(through go compare), And my postcode is the 2nd worst in the country.
Good luck.

You need to start ringing around guys.I had an E46 M3 cab for 5 yrs and the difference in premiums between companies can vary alot.Just because they are good with your porsche doesn't mean they will like M3's.

I would say you should be paying around £600 max providing your postcode aint a bad one.Anymore and I would look elsewhere.

Have you tried Liverpool Victoria? I'm similar age to you, clean licence, full no claims, car (E46 M3 CS equipped with tracker) garaged in a relatively low risk area. Based on doing 15k miles a year my insurance with LV was £425 fully comprehensive (£500 excess but without protected no claims as I always think that's a waste of money!). Sadly the M3 went last autumn but I now have an E92 335i and am still with LV; renewed in June at £377 fully comprehensive with £400 excess which didn't seem too bad to me!

I'm 44 live in wiltshire, have two Sp30's and owned my M3 for 6 years and just renewed, had a renewal quote of £606 with cc insurance last year paid £525. Adrian flux quoted £500 so renewed with them.
Hope this helps.this has a 6,000 mile a year limit

Cutters forum sponsors Sky insurance.

36 with 4 years NCB in a central Birmingham postcode, car value = £10k with no tracker and paid £658 last year.

I'm currently looking into a Z4MC - drove a lovely one today (bloody tempted - brilliant cars) - was bracing myself for the quotes as they came through, but I've been quoted from £300. Couldn;t quite believe it after reading this thread the other day.
