Traffic in the mornings - M27 C Ford to Portsmouth...?

I'm starting a new job soon which will mean a commute down the M27 from Chandler's Ford to Cosham at junction 12....i'll be needing to get there for an 8:30 start. now, obviously i'll be making sure I have plenty of time the first week or so (probably to get there stupidly early but better safe than sorry) but in general, what's the traffic like in this direction this time of the morning? i'm guessing 40mins for the trip would be a normal bet...making sure i leave a good 50-60mins the first few times.

Your estimate is spot on. But you probably will get held up just after j5 on slip. Possibly after j8 on slip J9 can be a pain

J11 - J12. Gets sticky where 4 lanes go to 3.

I leave Hamble at 7.10 and join at J8, I get a pretty clear run past Cosham to Havant and arrive at about 8.35.

Slows down a little at J11.

You should be ok at that time. Leave at 7.45 and you'll be there at 8.15. Leave it any later and it'll start building up.
