At the risk of being pooh-poohed for starting yet another GT86 thread, some of you may be interested to see in Autocar today ( page 54-55 ) that Steve Sutcliffe is starting project GT86.

They're getting a white GT86 and are going to try and make it quicker this year by removing weight and optimising suspension, tyres ( fitting 888s ), geo etc and avoid modifying the engine and gearbox.
They're doing this in conjunction with Fensport.

Next year they will add more power ( maybe up to 350bhp ) and a stronger diff.

The Autocar modded one is just using the standard engine for now but they did win the first round of the Toyota Sprint series at Barkston Heath beating a 400bhp+ GT4. The standard car they benchmarked with came 15th. They reckon they've spent about £4k so far ( removing interior, changing springs, shocks, ARBs, rear arms and battery and new wheels and 888s ).
