it is a tragedy of cosmic proportions that Prefab Sprout aren't as well known as The Beatles.

This is one of the greatest songs ever written - Cowboy Dreams

Too true, Prefab Sprout wrote perfect pop songs and Cowboy Dreams is a great example of that. It even survived Jimmy Nail attacking it as it was written for his tv show of the same name and Mr Nail is a little like Dennis Waterman, "Sing the theme tune" etc.
It's a real shame that they don't seem to be active on the music front any longer.

to be fair - they were never the most prolific of artists. Paddy McAloon is a bit of a perfectionist it seems so it takes them ages to produce anything.

CrimsonRed is the new release from Prefab Sprout
This was a surprise gift from the daughter for fixing her laptop

Its a great album to listen do.
Particularly in the car
Billy is the stand out song but Devil comes a calling and The best jewel thief in the world are also great

Prefab Sprout may be easy listening to some but the album is like an old friend it just slots in as easily as from Langley park to Memphis
