A week overdue, it was a painful task but my baby girl was finally delivered last night,
and even though today is Friday the 13th I tempted fate and drove her to work, she behaved like a dream and put the biggest grin on my face i think I've had in a long time.
Here's a pic to get started. I'll take some more over the weekend when I find a more suitable location.

Adrian, well spotted! I was wondering if anyone would notice the brick. I used to have a S2.2 and after a long hard drive the handbrake would hold while it was hot and then i'd find my car sometime later at the bottom of the driveway. So until I've got used to this one I think it's a fair precaution.
As far as the drive of this one goes, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! it's got to be just about the best thing on 4 wheels, also I'm not sure why people complain about the gear change in these motors, yes, my series 2 was a bit stiff and hard work but this one is just as nice as my Toytoaster Supra.
BTW, that's it in the background.

Just remember to slip it in to 1st gear, that should do the trick.
Years ago my old man's Allegro rolled off the drive, which was very steep, and went about 100 yards into the road until it hit a kerb. On the plus side we lived in a cul-de-sac, so less chance of hitting a car but then ofcause kids play in the road. Years later I still remember it, so always leave it in gear ! Then again, my mate with a TVR left it in gear then started it about a foot from a wall and then tried to blame anyone he could think of when it lurched forward and smacked a chunk out of the front !

how about leaving the brick a few inches behind the wheel then leave the car with the brake on, if it somehow rolls you will be protected if not then you can get confidence in the hand brake.
I would normally park in gear. even on that slight slope and forget the brake altogether.
the brake is for hills, not slight slopes...
