I thought you would have had it chrome plated whilst it was off!
I notice also that your alternator has a luxury rose-jointed adjustable stay rod.
Nice idea, enables perfect belt tension without struggling.
Could do with that on my trousers.
I reckon you could fill this forum with all your innovations

hole in the one at alternator bushed down to 8mm to suit alternator bolt
thread in other one drilled out so M10 threaded rod (stainless of course) slips in
right hand nut (looking at picture)brazed to threaded rod
belt tensioned by turning brazed (fixed) nut then locked with other nut
threaded rod length has to be reasonably accurate otherwise will screw out of joint before belt is correct tension

No, stainless.well, actually it was just stainless panels stuck on a fibreglass body on a steel chassis. Not a full stainless monocoque so probably not really ideal for time travel

88 mph should be achievable.

Plus it needs no fancy wax products, just a rub along the grain with a scotchbrite pad. I'm starting to realise why you're so keen on stainless Phillpot
