Best deals on new Westminster RR
Discussion
I've just ordered one and only in build options or stock cars are left.
Good luck with the dealers as I found the customer facing staff shocking.
Dealer 1, Agreed the spec on an in build car, chased once for the quote then moved on. Shukers Shrewsbury
Dealer 2, I managed to get a quote, phoned the sales manager and asked him if he wanted to take a deposit over the phone. I s
t you not, the t
t declined, muttered that the dealership was changing hands at the weekend and he would phone back the week after. The
never did. Land Rover Stafford
Dealer 3, By this time I'm severley pisst off with all Land Rover sales people. A bit of research on dealers and I end up with a dealership with a 97% customer satisfaction score and 57 miles away. Still issues but resolved after I escalate to the dealer principle with a donation to a charity of their choice so at least someone benefits.
Talking to a friend the subject of Land Rover dealers came up, he found the same issues.
In this economic environment I can't believe the lack of interest from so called sales people.

Not even sure about buying new, tbh. I'm leaning towards a lightly used example, but I'd consider new if the price was right.Charles
The dealers I've spoken to are offering about £5-6k discount and 0%finance over 24 months. Sound reasonable?
Thanks for all replies

FWIW and I am sure you have looked, but there are over 50 RR Westminsters on Autotrader with prices starting around £55k for a low mileage 12 plate. Has to be a better buy than new?
Thanks Phil. I had looked..... Looks like a lot of ex demos coming on to the market. Might be the way to go.....i was offered 10k off a new Westminster in Feb'12. I'd imagine they're still keen to do a deal having watched the video of the new RR on the LR site. I was highly impressed with the Westminster and the 4.4V8 engine. Direct Line wanted to double the insurance vs my Disco3 and needed a tracker.
