Snapped my Specialized Sirrus, what replacement frame?

A while back I foolishly neglected to notice that the mount for my Kryptonite lock had worn through the rubber protecting my frame. End result was some paint damage and a couple of small indents in my frame. I didn't think too much about it, replaced the rubber and carried on commuting to work. Then yesterday this happened...
Very annoying but nobody to blame but myself.
I've replaced or upgraded most of the components on the Sirrus over time and refreshed the drivetrain and treated it to new wheels all of a month ago, as such it seems a shame to chuck the whole thing away and start again. What I'd ideally like to do is find a replacement frame, or frame and forks with similar geometry that will take as many of the Sirrus components as possible:

I realise this is slightly complicated by it being a hybrid and as such a bit of a mixture of road and mountain bike stuff. Ideally I'd like something that can be ordered and delivered fairly quickly, so watching eBay for a Sirrus frame isn't an option. Any frame suggestions would be much appreciated, so far all I can think of is the Cotic Roadrat, but I'm guessing my wheels might not fit due to it taking disc hubs?

The Roadrat looks good, someone in my office has one so I've seen one in the flesh. Would my existing wheels/hubs be too narrow for it? I assume disc hubs are wider?

I hadn't tried Specialized, just because I assumed they'd (quite rightly) tell me where to go. Might be worth a call though.

Called Specialized, they'll sell me a new frame for £250. Bad news is that'd be a new Sirrus frame, which seems to have gone more towards the mountain bike than the road bike so I'd also need new wheels, and ultimately end up with a bike that I didn't really like.

The Specialized Crux wasn't actually in stock, so that was a non-starter. I went into the supplying bike shop who were very helpful, they offered me a decent discount off a new Sirrus or Tricross and passed on the number for a frame repairer that they've used in Bristol. Not a cheap option though at £120 + £35 postage for a new section of tubing.
Managed to locate a nearby bloke with a workshop who restores cars. He is very kindly calling in at my place tonight to take a look. Fingers crossed!

How does a lock mount do that?I wouldn't have thought it would either. There are two slight dips in the down tube from the lock bracket rubbing, if it hadn't split right on one of them I wouldn't have given them a second thought.
The welder I found turned up as promised last night and took the bike away. Reckons it'll be a challenge but he'll give it a go. Certainly worth a try even if it only buys me a bit of time (I use the bike daily) especially as he only wants £30 collected and delivered!
Interesting bloke. He usually fabricates race cars, all sorts of interesting projects on the go including a 200mph electric drag bike.

Indeed, seemed like the best option. Buys me a bit of time if nothing else, I was working up to getting a road bike, but I'd rather take my time choosing, and I'll still want the Sirrus for winter duties.
Bike was returned to me this evening as promised. Seems nice and stiff again, looks a bit scrapheap challenge but I quite like it in a way.
