OP your post makes no sense, I don't understand what you're trying to say!

You mention a 3 series rival in your title, but post a link to the Alfa 4C which is essentially a boxster rival?

Very nice If they did make something like this. Was lusting after the 4C or f-Type but there is hope .. I hope. Just hope the headroom is designed for people taller than 5 foot 6" - unlike the old Brera.

Considering how bland the three series ended up before the Bangle generation it will be nice to see a rival that is designed rather than keyed into an AutoCAD program. Cars are too generic these days.

I remember when Alfa Romeo made great looking cars. They may have been poorly made, not the best in class to drive by some margin etc etc, but the styling was great. They're pretty bland now though, the above posted coupe would never look that when it saw it light of the day.

The 159 was a great looking car for its time. However peoples expectations are higher now and are 'unforgiving' with regards to below par dynamics
