It seems to be a bit of a time for this sort of thing right now.
I now make a post that I really thought would be months away.
We came back from our shopping trip tonight to find little Rosie dead in her cage. She was still warm and I think she died about maybe five to ten minutes before we got in.
She was a rescue rabbit, black lop, but once she'd bonded with Micky (only took a couple of months and lots of lost fluff), they were like bookends. We think she was around two when we got her, she's been with us just shy on four years.
She's been losing weight for a while, and despite all the dandelions and clover, she has now gone to wait in the field by the bridge.
Goodbye, our little friend.

We were expecting the teeth trouble, but the Vet saw her 6pm last night and said her teeth were fine. She just needed to get her appetite back from the anesthetic (she'd been in the day before for a dematt), she was dead by 7.20.
Most touching thing was Guzzi, the first of our cats, tapping her head, very gently, as she lay wrapped up in her grave. He waited by the grave until we'd replaced the grass over her, then walked away across the garden.
He never really paid much attention to her in the house (she and Micky live in the conservatory), other than to run quickly if she chased him out!
