its great in harrogate this week

there is a huge quantity of classic citroens on holiday here, most from europe.

the owners spend the day driving around in little groups of three and four, parking up to go shopping and out for tea to the local pubs on a night.

it means that you can sit on a bench, or drive around and see some really nice examples just pootling around

ive seen ds's, sm's (inc a four door one), visas, xm's, traction avants, 2c.v's etc etc.

its great to see such a huge range of cars, most in very good condition, just been used and parked like a modern car.

im going out with my camera tonight to try and get some pictures

Saw a couple of foreign-reg DSs in convoy heading up the A1 earlier this week - probably heading there.

I saw a pair yesterday on the A61 through Chesterfield - a Light 15 and something a lot older from the 20's, both on French Plates. I do like a Traction Avant, lovely old thing.

Seen loads of classic DSs around York this weekend and a huge convoy of Traction Avants on the A166 towards the coast. Lovely cars.

so that's why I saw a DS on the A1 yesterday and a Traction Avant this morning.

We're camping in Dalby Forest this weekend, bugger!

Loads touring round the Dales too - I even saw an immaculate Citroen Ami8 on German plate earlier today in the village

Makes Harrogate / surrounding area feel European all of a sudden biggrin

Saw some lovely Dutch and Belgian registered DSs in Pateley Bridge yesterday, although one was putting out a hell of a lot of blue smoke.

Dark Brown / Marron in colour?

Saw the lead one broke down between Newark and Markham Moor with the other pulled in behind. Looked stunning.
