Just about to pull the trigger on this as a motorway cruiser

2006 lexus is220d se
Slate grey
55k/1 owner/FSH
Full black leather
Full multimedia package(satnav/14.1 stereo etc etc)
Sunroof
VGC inside and out
2 years lexus warranty
6 months tax/12months mot/just serviced/almost new re50's all round

£9200.

I'll be doing about 15,000miles a year, i'll get 45ppm for the first 10k then 25ppm for the rest, idea being it covers fuel/insurance/servicing and a bit towards another car in 2-3 years.

I can find a few cheaper but not in the same condition/spec and none that can match the lexus warranty.

Excellent choice, a lovely car to be in, premium environment with Toyota running costs, that warranty would swing it for me.... get it bought ....

Just expect the usual PH responses though about what else that is wholly irrelevant to you that you could also get for £9k .....

to be honest it's nicer inside than any bmw/merc/audi i've been in. I know they have their issues but as a package I couldn't think of anything else?

And as a package at that price you won't find anything else with that kind of histroy and warranty, I had the IS200 series one car, a little underpowered but a great ownership experience, we're looking at a 4x4 potentially and the RX is top of my list I think .....

Over all chart of used prices show they are softening ( off one of the finance sites)

So play harder if the price niggles.
The Owner is the bag on holder at the end of the day with softening prices.

Thats what I was thinking of saying, bid them a flat 9k .... if they say no it then becomes a case of for the sake of £200 can you be arsed to possibly find a cheaper one thats comparable ??? If the answers no, get it bought as one oay or the other you'll spend that £200 either on driving out to view stuff, time spent, HPI's etc ....

2% should be workable smile

offer a deposit plus a contact number and ask to get back to you if its workable smile

Normally don't leave you hanging for long on a sunny friday afternoon...

Well I did get it bought smile

It's up for £9k approved used 5+ car(best spec/milage I could find at that price).

Basically i've got it for £8300 with tax+a few smart repairs etc etc, topped up the warranty for another year on top, an a couple of bits, final bill came to just under £9200.

Strange to think that a main dealer is a better place to buy than an indy!

Nice, and the black leather works great, not a great fan of the lighter leather colors that many of these have ....

Lots of car and toys for the money smile

Oh ridiculous, you should have bought an E39 M5....
