Kerbal Space Program

Not played it since they added the moon but I wasted several days making weird space rockets and trying to get my guys up and into a stable orbit for a while before pulling a deorbital burn.
Sort of cheating when you start using the mods people have done but there is something amusing about a 7 stage rocket where everything decouples perfectly.
For a moon landing you will need to make sure you are not going too fast and turn your engines towards the moon and try to get yourself into an orbit around first then do the landing. Would be an easy way to waste a weekend.

Ive got the full game, and I LOVE it
Trick with the moon landing is just swapping orbits, using the pro-grade and retrograde makers to help you (the yellow circle and yellow circle with a cross through it).
Launch, get to about 50km up so you're out of the atmosphere, and then turn so you're pointing east (which is along the 90* and on the line that separates the blue/brown of the HUD. Stay like this until you just see the moon starting to crest over the horizon, then go full throttle, and open the map. You'll see your orbit getting larger, and eventually you'll see it interact with the moons orbit, and you will get a second line that shows you going into a grav sling shot.
Stop boosting at this point, and coast until you are on the grav sling shot line. As soon as you are, flip your craft over so you're facing the retrograde symbol (yellow circle that's got a cross through it) and burn. You should see your orbit decreasing, until you're orbiting the moon. Now just burn retrograde until your orbit shows you colliding into the moon, and coats down into it, remembering to slow down to about 5 m/s before you touch down or you explode...
Hope that helps
Its a super addictive game

Its a super addictive gameIts still in its alpha/beta stage like minecraft was for ages. There is no missions yet, but there will be a campaign eventually. Right now you have a huge list of parts, and you piss about making rocks and there's an aeroplane hanger to make stuff like my kerbalfortress, that you take off from a runway. Some of the guys have been using their planes to get upto about 30km, then dropping a small rocket that goes into orbit etc.
All you can do for now is build rockets and planes, and go into space. Theres the Mun (moon) you can land on, and way further out is Minmus (mini Moon) that's way harder to land on
I think they plan to add in space docking with other craft in the next month or so, and the mods currently available are amazing!
