The jumps might put a little bit of mechanical strain on the kart! A quad would be better

The jumps need absorbing at full speed. Maybe you could do it on a quad but getting your speed right(and slow enough) would be difficult - the benefit being that on the bmx the bike can be sucked up to clear knuckles.
