URGENT ALARM HELP PLEASE

Hope someone can help me, I have 98 4.5 and can not disarm the car without alarm siren going off.

On return to the car I press and hold my key fob to unlock disarm the alarm, as soon as the indicators flash the siren goes off and I've had to drive home with this siren going.

I thought I'd read something about this in the past on PH but on searching for it I can not find what I'm looking for.

I've read my manual but it does not tell me anything, can someone please help with an idea to try, was going to a TVR meet tommorrow but can not like this.

Try not to press and hold the fob button - this may only keep resetting it and may not be helpful. Just press it once, quickly and see if that helps.

Other than that, disconnect the battery, and then reconnect it with key fob at the ready and then depress keyfob for 5 seconds or so to reset the alarm.

is it teh alarm going off that's causing it ie are the indicators flashing also?

if it's just the siren that's at fault, and the indicators function normally you can disconnect the siren and wait for it's internal power pack to run flat, then continue to drive as normally ..
