Thus could be an interesting circuit. If so, bring it on.

They started laying the final Tarmac this week. Imagine how late you can brake into turn one with the hill like that!

Flipping through some of the photos it looks like they might bottom out when they hit the hill. The transition looks fairly abrupt.

There are regulations regarding racetracks these days that stipulate maximum transition angle as well as other things so I doubt they would bottom out.

Id imagine they would because they would have a huge amount of downforce at that point so it would be similar to the bottoming at Eau Rouge.

Here's a (very slow) lap of the circuit now it's all tarmaced:

I can't wait, lots of elevation changes. I think it looks superb.

At first sight looks like they've taken some sections from existing tracks - The Becketts complex at Silverstone sprang to mind (at about 2:50 into the vid) Then the final uphill left hander from Brazil.

Anone else spot any others ?

From 50s I like the traffic coming the other way, nice concept, good challenge. Then driving straight at them (55s). Maldonado will love that?

anyone got any advice on getting tickets?

COTA apparently only have weekend grandstand passes left at £250 - now, if I've got to pay that then i will but cheaper would be better (more beer money naturally)!
