Would a cheap old Rolls end in tears?
Discussion
Just spying classic car buyer and there is a Shadow I in there (think it's a 71, either way tax free) which is up for £2750.....BUT...it's got 11 months MOT, ergo it can't be too f
ked/rotten...can it?
I mean that's just silly cheap, and it would cost less than 120 quid to insure!
Admittedly it's white (probably explains the cheapness) but even so just to use maybe once a week it's got to be a little bit cool! And if it decides to die then surely at that money (say 2500 after haggling) it would break for bits and pay for itself?
Yes I know if anything goes wrong its ££££££££ and rust kills them but with 11 months ticket that has to be a temporary reprieve... And yes, it will do single figures MPG but who cares! For the few miles it will do does it matter.
I really should stop looking at small ads, it just won't end well!

It's this charming faith in the MOT that keeps the old car world turning.

Yes don't just trust and MOT I could get an MOT on my mini without event taking the car if I wanted (never actually take this option for safety) but a lot of sellers of classics may know a friendly tester who will put a ticket on the car overlooking faults. greggy50 said:

It wasn't too long ago when you were considering buying a dictators hat to compliment your new car. Change dictator for chauffeur, and I think it could be a fun experience that helps to pay for its own upkeep.
Do it!
Yes well lurked! The big benz idea was scuppered by money issues Do it!
I could justify this though.....maybeGassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
