I'm travelling to Osnabrück in Germany in September and have decided to fly from LBA to AMS with KLM and then catch a train to Osnabrück. Last time I went with Jet2 from LBA to DUS and bought tickets to Osnabrück when I got to DUS, but this time there isn't long enough between the flight getting in and the last train leaving, so I'm going to AMS as there are more flights there from LBA and more train options when I arrive. What I can't find out on the train booking website is if the fare from Schiphol to Osnabrück will be much higher if I buy the tickets when I arrive instead of buying them online in advance. There are two trains from Schiphol to Osnabrück - I'll make the first if my flight gets in on time and I get through immigration quickly, otherwise I'll have to wait a few hours for the next one, so I'd like to be flexible. If flexibility is going to cost a lot I'll just book the later train and twiddle my thumbs in AMS for a few hours, but I'd rather get that earlier train if I can. Does anyone know if a walk-on fare to Osnabrück, bought at Schiphol, is going to cost a lot more than one bought in advance?

I think they are generally cheaper in advance.

DB have a UK call centre, give them a ring:

www.ns.nl gives no info on pricing for the direct train on the website, which suggests it won't change. Generally the price for a train in NL is the price and doesn't change if you book in advance.

The DB (German Trains) website works in English too. They do have some extra cheap tickets if you book far enough in advance, but they sell out quickly.
