I have recently completed converting the lights in the beastie to twin relfector units - will post some pix and details soon. Light pattern etc suggests well worth the effort.

One problem - the lights are solidly mounted to the pods via fabricated back plates. On the move the pods are vibrating - they can't be locked out solid.

With the state of bodging within the pods when the old lights came out/fell out ( bits of meccano, dexion racjking, luimps of putty etc) - it is possible I don't have all the correct parts.

Any thoughts gentlemen?

Regards
EWAN

It's a common problem. The motor was lifted from the TR7, but only the motor, not the spring-loaded platform that Triumph used that keeps the pod rigid when lifted.
TVRs bodgification was to clamp a bit of rubber hose to the front lower edge of the pod and use the motor's torque to squash the hose against the underside of the bodyshell. If you could replicate that it'd be a start...
