Just had my Chim 400 exhaust modified - sports / sleeved. I have to say it sounds awesome :-) Will this mod have affected the car in anyway that would result in further work being needed. Wasn't sure if the mod may cause the engine to run differently because of less back pressure? Will it need the ECU settings looking at?
Probably stupid questions but if you could humour me I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
Dave

Are you into track days? My standard 400 exhaust is 90 dB. Many tracks allow 105dB static, but some only go as high as 92.....which you may have just scuppered.

No Anthony, just a fun car not intended for the track.

Yes you can leave them in all the time ,fix with a self tapper.,gets rid of that annoying resonance for long runs ..

I thing I need some of those - what db do you get with those in place ? I've got sleeved and no pre-cats but main cat still in place. I think even with those I'd need to stick some additional silencing in the system.

I know you've got a sports type exhaust Daz, so interested to know what the levels are with those inserts, I may go down the same route.

Nice one Darren, I'll check them out once the TVRMonster website is back up. Apart from calming the noise down on a run, will I need to look at other mods?

From 110 to just over 90db at Caddwell park, its not just the loudness it`s the resonance i hate ,completly eradicates it !
