Discussion
Hope I'm not lightening the tone but I bought my third chim yesterday, mucho celebration (Friday the 13th? pah! we spit in the face of superstition! [that spelling doesn't look right after twoo bottles of wine?]) Thanks Pete
I have the "grin" back - jeez, I missed the noise!
See you all soon.

Sorry to hear that people are parting with their pride and joys.
I have decided that my faithful Crystal Topaz Tuscan should go to a new home soon so I will be Tivless for a short while. My MBA has cost me a fortune so I need to knuckle down, find a good job and settle into it. I'm going to hang on to the TUS 373 plate though, as that is just too much a part of me and PHs to sell!!
Good luck with all the new cars chaps.

congratualtions corin. sounds like it was a deal that everyone was happy with as well. good for you - and the new one looks like a beauty.
was selling mine - but the prospective buyer seems not really bothered ( though lord knows the price is keen enough!
).
starting to think about getting the engine overhauled and keeping it now - after all pretty much everything else has been done, with all the miles i've put on it already it won't depreciate any more, and like the markets i guess you only take the 'hit' when you get out so....
dunno. have a tin top now, so won't be racking the miles up like i was, which should reduce overheads, and a chap on another thread had me thinking about engine work. hmm.

Thanks Del! How life treating you, haven't seen you around for a while? I looked at the rebuild route and almost went for the TVR Power stage 1 rebuild followed by a trip to Mark Adams, would have come to about £3k all in all but opted to change the car, not sure if I'm doing the right thing but unless you try you'll never know?
