Any good BBQ deals around?

I've got a Weber 57cm kettle and have been using it for slow grilling with some good results. I'm looking for a 2nd BBQ which i'll use for high temp grilling whilst the weber is in use, and looking for some recommendations. I'd probably need something that has a cover and can hold a reasonable amount of food.

Are there any good deals out there?

Purchased a Smokey Joe from these guys the other week, http://www.wowbbq.co.uk the other week. Best price around (at the time) and they have daily deals. Shipping was good as well.

I've actually managed to break a 57cm Weber and am looking to replace it with another kettle.

I assume another one is the default choice? I'd like something a little bigger, but Weber don't appear to make on (for sensible money)

I picked up my Weber one touch premium for £129 from B&Q a couple of weeks ago, the same price as they had the non-premiums up for! I think the deal is still on, although there wasn't much stock around when I bought mine.

I would love another weber, but i'm not sure how practical it actually is for fast grilling compared to others. Would a flat bbq (that doesn't allow coals to fall through to the bottom) give better results?

The coals should not fall though the bottom. You are using the bottom rack to put the coals on?

Thanks for the suggestions. The 1 metre Weber might be out of my price range a bit!

What about something like this? I have a feeling it might not be that robust, but reviews seem good

Yes, using the bottom rack. It's when the coals get too small that they fall through - now that i'm using Big K lumpwood it's less of an issue, but even those fall through after they've been burning a while.

What did you break? it's worth phoning Weber and telling them, as you may find they will send you a free replacement part. Their customer service is exceptional.

I actually bought this one earlier in the year as I'm too much of a cheapskate to buy a Weber onetouch.

For the price, I've been really impressed with its performance. Ok, so it's not as sturdy and solid as a Weber, but when coupled with a 20% discount weekend at this price, I really couldn't see the Weber being worth 3x as much.

I have warped it sufficiently that the lid doesn't fit the base anymore (and seriously distorted the charcoal grill bit).

I can replace the lower grill, but not the entire lower half.

I expect they may well replace the lower half for you. These things have a 10 year warranty, it has to be worth emailing them, nothing to lose and potentially a free BBQ to gain!

I'm thinking of buying a Kamado style BBQ, it would probably be a Kamado Joe, rather the THE BIG GREEN EGG because of price and dealer locality.

I know they are expensive but they should last a very long time & supposedly produce fantastic results.
