Help me bait a scammer.

I'm selling my bike at the moment and have as expected got me a scammer. Transcript below.

Okay,Am very sorry for my late response. just wanna know more about the condition and the engine, tire's and body.As i will not be able to come over there to look at it.

Hi Peter,
no problem about the late response as i'm a bit of a night hawk myself.
The bike has two tires (tyres), it certainly has an engine and although they class this bike as a naked bike it does have some fairings.
All in immaculate condition.
Where in the world are you?

Thanks for the prompt response.. I am quite okay with the condition and I am ready to buy it urgently for birthday gift for my brother in-law an. I am at sea at the moment due to my work as private sailor, as am in-charge of my boss ship, i would have come to check and see it myself and due to the nature of my work, phone calls making and visiting of website are restricted but i squeezed out time to check this advert and send you an email regarding it. I really want it to be a surprise for brother in-law so i wont let him know anything about it until it gets delivered to him, i am sure he will be more than happy with it. I insisted on paying you via PayPal because i don't have access to my bank account online as i don't have internet banking, but i can pay from my PayPal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it, i will need you to give me your paypal email address so i can make the payments asap. Pls if you don't have paypal account yet, it is very easy to set up, go to www.paypal.com and get it set up, after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you use for registration with paypal so as to put the money through. I have a pick up agent that will come and pick it up after i have made the payments...

1)Full Name
2)PayPal e-mail Account
3)Exact Amount.
NOTE: Please note that I have a shipper/mover who handles my shipping arrangement anywhere in the world, the shipping agent would be coming for the pickup, after you have received payment, which would be through paypal, If this is acceptable, get back to me

I'd forget it.
Surely these things work by churning out thousands and thousands of e-mails in the hope that a tiny % of potential victims will bite. They do this all day long and I'm sure they can recognise when they are being baited or played along. If they think that's the case they'll just drop it. Don't waste your time, you'll not get any amusement out of it.

You're not the first to recieve an email from a scammer and you won't be the last whether you bait him/her or not.
Seriously - the best case you can get is a little fun out of your baiting. And its arguable whether this would be 'fun'.
The worst case is that the scammer decides to take umbrage and do something about it.
Whilst the latter is unlikely - why risk it/bother about it?
Also I'm a bit confused as to what 'help' you are seeking here?

No. Paypal can and will do a charge back is he asks them to and you can't prove delivery. They will pull it from your account if you have a registered bank account. It's very secure and safe for a buyer, not so much for a seller.boobles said:

s off then. Simples!In all fairness, I recently bought a trailer tent and as I needed it urgently and my funds were tied up elsewhere, I offered a quater of the price in cash, and the rest through PayPal.
Turned up, the seller had is laptop, I logged in, entered email address, sent money. He logged in, check he had received money, add funds to bank account.
Job Jobbed.

Seriously guys, this is the oldest one in the book as the OP well knows - all these scams follow the same tack, I have had two on separate cars (one a sailor, one an oil worker), same format. One I ignored, one I messed about with as bored.
It is fun actually, they are not bright at all and English will always be their second langauage allowing a little byplay.
