family holiday over xmas
Discussion
I know alot of you on pistonheads are well travelled individuals, and that you could most probably advise someone like myself. I've only been abroad a couple of times unlike mrs sheldo who has lived in the us and germany for quite a few years. Infact the last time we went away was in 2006 to party hard in kavos (corfu), oh how times have changed.
I have to have a two week break over xmas which i have to take due to my work, and the mrs has for the first time in years managed to get sometime off aswell. We would like to go somewhere warm and relax by a pool for a week with our little lad who will be about 2 1/2. Id like to have a few trips out with some fun things for us all to do but mainly just get some well needed rest. I think all inclusive would be the way to go as we will be on a bit of a budget, time of year and all. Where do you recommend?

I think at that time of year you may pay a premium no matter where you are going, if you require good weather I think in terms of value for money and flight time somewhere in the canaries will be your best option. Anywhere else with a good chance of good weather at this time of year will be expensive I suspect. My recommendation would be Florida if it fitted into your budget.
