Just had a call from the FIL all vague..He wonders if I or the PH community can help.

His friend has bought a car with several previous keepers on the V5. It appears that there is a point for 3 years when the car doesn't appear to be linked to a keeper and it just says "EUO"

He wants to know what it means.

Anyone know?

Cheers.

And where has he got this info from on the V5? It only shows the last registered keeper.

That I don't know. As I said he's being vague. Could it be something on the new V5? The only second hand cars I owned were on the old style docs.

New V5 only shows last keeper as well. Think he has a different document to what he thinks he has!

Yes it sounds like it.

it may be that a previous owner got the list of previous keepers which is what he now has. I will have to wait until I get sight of the paperwork.

I do wish my FIL wouldn't promise his mates he'll find out, then rely on me, and my membership here!

Thats what the FIL guessed. Could the car have been exported for a time?

Possibly "Exported Unknown Owner" then?
It is very odd that Google doesn't throw up anything at all - not even someone else asking the same question. Makes me wonder if your FIL is unintentionally giving you duff info.

I think that's the case. I Googled before I posted and also found nothing.
