We went to a lovely holiday park in Cornwall at the beginning of July

http://www.stivesbay.co.uk/

It was probably the nicest park we have been to, Nice bar, food and a great pool for the little fella, close to ST Ives and above all it was very reasonable.

We talked about coming back but it is a 7 hour drive with our 9 month old on board and it is too much.

So I thought i'd ask the folk on here can you recommend any holiday parks in Wales with the following criteria:

Decent clean static caravansor lodges

Nice facilities

Decent pool

Near a nice Welsh picturesque village/town on the coast
(I know St Ives is a hard act to follow)

And reasonably priced (under 300 for the week)

I live in the Manchester area so Wales makes more sense from a travelling perspective.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

When do you want to go. In high season you will be lucky to find anything for £300. Mine, not in Wales, rents for £600+ per week in the summer. It is near the New Forest, Bournemouth and Poole and is around 4 to 5 hours from Manchester.

My caravan is shown in the link for my profile website but also leads to a generic site with other owners' caravans. You can use the website to search for 'Late Deals' and search for caravans by location (country (?), county, park) and various other criteria (date - click the advanced search twice to get this option, number of bedrooms, berth, pets allowed, smoking allowed etc).

Well we went to St Ives Bay at the beginning of July and payed around £330-£340 mark. But we got a 2 person discount (includes babies under 18 months) and it was just before the holidays.

We're going to go in September and it's around the £220-£230 mark then.

But it is just too far for the little fella.

It will usually p*ss down in Wales in September. There's also not much here out of season (flame suit on).

I would expect Cornwall to be cheaper outside of high season than more accessible places in the country. Looks like St Ives Bay is a Hoseasons site so you will get large discounts with them at none peak times.

There does not appear to be any caravan at St Ives Bay on the website link in my profile. There are a number of caravan site in Wales on the site but I do not know what they are like.
