Considering these vs. Toyo R1Rs to replace current Toyo R888s as I'm looking for a better all rounder.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

R1R are a pretty good allrounder in my book, less slick then the R888 and I have no desire to try any other tyre since.

Thanks - was actually going to go with R1R but unfortunately they don't do a 235/40/18 which I run at the front and have had a recommendation on the AD08s

I ordered them in 225x40 and 255x35 wich is the recommended size by the TVR specialist, due to the stiffer sides compared to (for example) the ts you can run them in a different size then standard.

I have ad08's

I quite like them, although I still have lots of wheelspin although I'm not sure that's entirely the tyres.

They do grip well and feel nice.

Surprisingly they last very very well, I have done about 7k on them and rears still have at least half left, fronts about 3/4 left. Thatbsaidmi never purposely light them up.

Did one trackday too but they went off pretty quickly so for track use they aren't all that really, got to be better than normal road tyres though.

Ok in the wet if you take it easy which regardless of tyre is a no brainier.

For me on these cars it has to be something track orientated as naturally there's little grip so every little helps IMO.
