I had to travel to my local OPC to get the dreaded clutch switch replaced which causes intermittent startup problems and I pass the Tyne Tunnel to get there.

Windows wound down and in 2nd gear I did a few slow downs and give it the beans with the Sports Exhaust switched on my Cayman R.... Never heard the car sound so good... That flat six howl is just to die for... just like on Top Gear biggrin

Not sure what others may have thought listening to me reving the engine in a tunnel? Probably "What a $%*^!" rofl

Haha! It's gotta to be done Sooty.

I used to use the tunnel twice a day and there was always someone testing out the acoustics. smile

It's the same at Hindhead. Always some expensive metal in there. S

Did Hindhead a couple of Sundays ago, about 15 cars and I was behind a 997 GTS and a 997 Turbo both with sports exhausts. I have to say the sounds were awesome. Slowing down then accelerating was possible as in convoy formation. Must say I have no idea whether or not the other Sunday drivers were as impressed!! Picking up our 981 on Tuesday with PSE and Tunnel beckons again!!
