Spill Proof bowl

Help, my kitten is driving me bonkers!!

I have a Stainless steel water bowl which he keeps tipping over and causing a mini flood in the kitchen. I need to get a heavy or spill proof bowl that he cannot tip over. I've seen in the USA some bowls that have a moulded holder that you put the food & water bowl in but they are really expensive.

Can anyone got any idea where I could get them cheaper or something that is so heavy he cannot tip it over?

There is one that was on Dragons Den. Took off in the US and used by Plod now I think for using in the cars as it doesn't spill.

But can I remember the sodding name of it?

We had the same issue. I bought a pottery bowl called a spaniel bowl,designed to stop ears getting into the bowl,ut has a tapered edge.

Not one drop spilt since.

And IM sure it came from P@H.

I have a similar solution with my snakes, as they use water dishes to bath in.

A cheap solution (but not very attractive) is to by a cheap sandwich box from the supermarket (cake ones are normally circular), fit the lid then cut a hole in the middle of the lid. smooth of the edges then go. The remainder of the lid should leave a nice lip.

He would still be able to tip it over and spill the water everywhere, just not all of it.

Wondered about this on the bottom of his existing bowl..

A flower pot of the same circumference as the rim of a water bowl.
A couple of large stones, or the like, in the bottom of the pot to add weight and stability and then sit the water bowl inside the pot.

Try a heavy dog bowl. A kitten shouldn't be able to tip that up. We use them for our ferrets.

The flared base shape means it doesn't tip. The rubber ring around the bottom soon goes in the bin but it's fine without that.

Second this one, we have gone through a few bowls with our kitten, plastic with a pick up hole on the side and she used to put her toys under it and then try and get them out spilling the water, tried a ceramic one too but she would push it along
The above one stays in one place now, the rubber ring is fine too

Thanks a million for this! ordered one on amazon for about a tenner - going by the reviews it should stop the slopped water and doggy drool all over the kitchen floor...
