Just taken my gearbox out and renewed the layshaft, all bearings and seals. When I removed the alloy support, I noticed that on the inside it said "FRONT" and the arrow was pointing to the back of the car. I have just put it back in with the arrow pointing to the front of the car, but now the fan is very close to the radiator. Looking at the parts list the picture of the part seems to show it the way it was originally. So my question is "is the arrow cast into the allow cross member cast incorrectly?" Also on my car there are four spacers between the cross member and the brackets on the chassis, but they do not show on the parts list. Has someone just put them on in the past, or should they be there?

Thanks for that. Looks like you also have the same way as me ( so the arrow saying front will be pointing to the rear of the car). Have now put it back in as it came out, and seems fine.
