Service Discount

My V8V is due its 6yr service shortly. The price from Wilmslow is £1,200 (inc VAT).

What sort of discounts have people managed to negotiate?

I thought AM had a fixed cost service plan. It was floating around here for a while. I'm sure the 6 year service was a looot less than that.

well mine was £600 at an independant .....theres lots of labour in there and if you can save £50 an hour for 5.5 hours, thats a fair chunk off to start with ....

My car is under warranty and I would prefer to have it serviced at a main dealer.

Strange that they'd quote something 20% different to that? I have always found Wilmslow service to be very helpful and straight.

Sorry, I was leading you astray. In trying to find the source of that image, I saw that it was originally from DMS, an indy now demised.

[e-mail] - you don't need to go to a Dealer even whilst under warranty. Adam and his team I believe are ex-Wilmslow and so could already have worked on your car ??

or if you are desperate for the Dealer stamp...

I paid 795 last year for my 6 year service at Wilmslow inc VAT on my DB9 but I supplied my own oil which cost me £60...... £1200 sounds like Mr Take the piss price ......tell tthem to try harder

Indeed, you don’t have to go to a dealer to have warranty work done either, whoever does it.

They just have to comply with the warranty terms and conditions.

Bamford Rose did my second year service at a very competitive price. Warranty unaffected under block exemption (think that's what it's called) as long as oem parts used and service schedule followed.

Looked at...thought about...poked a needle into my eye socket...sat on a bed of nails...shoved a red hot poker where the sun don't shine...had a chat with George...then binned the whole offer.
