With all the Lottery threads recently, and many saying they'd try and keep a big lottery win quiet, what car would you go for if you were trying to keep your big lottery win quiet.

Obviously if you went out and bought a brand new brightly coloured super car it might raise a few eyebrows, and the inheritance or 'business doing well' lines may not work.

So what would you go for if you wanted to splash some cash?

Unfortunately I'm not asking for advice!

Some old car with some brand new engine shoehorned in.

Oil burner spec A4 with a v10 out of an R8 or a ford focus with a ford GT engine. Something silly like that.

I can't think of anything to beat this although I'd just leave it unbadged.

I was thinking about this today.

My first option would probably be a Q7 in the same colour as the one I have, but new and the mental £100K 6.0 V12.
They're pretty common around here (not the V12) so a quick de-badge and private plate would make it blend in. None of the neighbours would notice the difference.

Phaeton is another good shout as there are a couple of them in Aberdeen being used as taxis!

The new Audi A8 is a contender just for the awesome £5k stereo option you can have, I'd have it just for that.

The Phaeton is a good shout.

I'd want a brand new one, with all the toys (but put an 'older' private reg on it) but looking at it, they're only available with V6 diesel. What happened to the crazy petrol engines?

I'd probably nip out and get a used 2008 Audi Avant in some sort of dark metallic grey.

Always fancied one.

New 911, probably the 3.8. Haven't really changed since the 60's, so who would know that it's new? wink

That's the opposite.

You could buy a cheap one of those and pretend you have won the lottery!
