2 Litres of diet coke every day?
Discussion
Doesn't take the guy with the weird hair from Embarrassing Bodies to tell me that 2 litres of diet coke per day is not healthy buuuuuutttt......
How bad is it? On a 1-10 scale? It is sugar free but guessing the exciting sounding other ingredients aren't too good for me.
If I dont have any I get very very grumpy, think its caffeine withdrawal as I don't do tea or coffee.
I am looking to reduce intake regardless but just interested in how much damage i've already done! Is it much worse than people who have 6 cups of coffee each day?
High quantities of Aspartame is not good for you.

That page says aspartame is safe though, which it is. 2 litres of diet coke is about 1 gram of aspartame which is not enough for any adverse effects at all.For example -

How much. This thread frightens me, though I do drink vast quantities of tea myself.
well yesterday I had a 500ml at about 9.30, another at 10.30, a can at 12, then I polished off 3/4 of a 2l bottle, then another 500ml at 9 ish depends if I'm at work or home, at home I have the big 2l bottles, at work we get free cans
Look up carbonated diet dirnks and their affect on the liver - plenty of research, amongst the inevitable conjecture, on the Internet
Like anything little and often is probably ok - 2 litres a day sounds a lot to me, and I use to work for Coca Cola so could drink as much as I liked back then!! :-)

Everything in moderation. I wouldn't drink that much of one thing.depends if I'm at work or home, at home I have the big 2l bottles, at work we get free cans
Jeepers that sounds like a lot of Coke. I would think its pretty bad for you. Put a scabby 1p or 2p piece into a glass and see how clean it gets. Must have the some affect on your insides.
Its very rare that i will have any fizzy drinks im not a fan my teeth feel yack after i drink one. Cherry Coke is nice though.

If your insides were coated with scabby copper then yes it would have the same effect.Diet Coke ruins my insides but...

Just pour it down yer gullet as u want it, your body will tell u when its had too much.
This is probably true in most cases, but that being said, it'd undoubtedly be a wiser (and cheaper!) decision to drink a 2l bottle of water every day. Just man up and learn to drink coffee like the rest of us.Super sweet drinks f
k you up.

There are a few artificial sweeteners, they don't have a nice effect on the body. I think the studies on aspartame look at it in isolation, and not combined with all the other w
k that people put in their bodies.
Have some coffee with muscovado in it.
