Clutch issue - help I am stuck
Discussion
Morning all
Go to get the Noble out of the garage to prep for a wedding use this weekend and the clutch pedal gave almost no resistance and immediately stalled when I try and put it into first.
It's as if the biting point has gone right to the bottom but it was fine when I put it away last weekend.
Undriveable. Any ideas?

The top man that is Matt Walton, just called me back and reckons it may be an air pocket.
Bit late to do anything about as am now north of Nottingham in the Impreza but does that sound likely?
He mentioned something on top of the gearbox you can turn a quarter turn and then pump to get air out.
I really hope it might be that simple.
Any thoughts?

You have to wonder how the air got in there so could happen again if the slave is failing.
Engine out to get the gearbox off to get to the slave I'm afraid
CORRECT, Engine out to get the gearbox off to get to the slave I'm afraid
these things dont just happen all of a sudden, I love your optimism but i've had the same, your slave cylinder has almost certainly failed, It happened to me just after re-fitting the engine once so had to remove the whole lot again, nearly put a hammer through the clam!

i had a simalir problem on my lotus elise
i bled the system out and all was well
however it went bad slowly over time
i think you may have to take the gearbox out to replace the cylinder
is it 5 or 6 speed ? where r u based ?
I will struggle to do anything with mine if I can't drive the car out of the garage as its down 3 steep ramps. i bled the system out and all was well

I'm in west London, and would love someone to come and help me next week? Very far north until weds but will be desperate to get this sorted before next weekend if anyone can come and help me try bleeding etc?
Might send it to Jetstream with the AA perhaps. Could get my knackered hoses replaced, brake fluid changed and oil catcher sorted at same time.
God these cars take a lot of money.....

Seems sensible to get it to Jetstream even if you have to pay a transport company to recover/deliver it.I'm in west London, and would love someone to come and help me next week? My car is already up there so it only makes sense yours should be there ;-)
Incidentally i'm hoping to collect mine Saturday 25th after it's remap that week. Woot Woot.
Are you loosing brake fluid? Is the brake fluid bottle full?
If the answere is no yes I would think that it is the master and air leak. if the answere is yes no then maybe you can try filling the pot again and see if you can get the peddle back for a short time to get it out of the garage.
Then send for repair.

Thank you chaps, as always, for your help and sympathy.
Not very impressed with my seriously well looked after car giving me a random problem like this out of nowhere and it's not sounding like it can be fixed even enough for me to drive to Jetstream.
Thinking that someone will have to transport it up there for me next week as soon as I am back from the north so I can collect on sat 25th too, Craig!! You can take me for a quick spin in yours!!
Bloody car - I have treated it so well this year and ploughed so much money in and now it repays me like this. Worse still, the Subaru has developed a very worrying knocking noise from the left rear in the last few hours....255 miles from home.
It never rains but it pours!
