Hi, just moved in to new house, having some stuff delivered when a cat walks up to the open conservatory door. Managed to shoo him/her out, but from its manner I assume it has been made welcome by previous occupier
I am an animal lover, and I hated sending the cat on its way like this, but I have frank the guinea pig to worry about! Also, a cat allergy, but more worried about frank...

So what can I do to prevent cats coming in to the garden? Don't want to terrify them
Not worried about this cat as I know they "do the rounds" and it looked well fed!

Out of the garden = good luck!! rofl

Out of the house - water pistol/fairy bottle filled with water & spray.

Will work for the garden too if you can see him/get him, but... you'd have to be on watch 24/7!

You need to convince them that your garden is a dangerous place to be, so first try running after them clapping your hands whenever you see them even if they're passing through.
I had issues with cats using my garden as a toilet and found this is the best option, plus scattering rose prunings around the garden convinced them to stay away. Annoyingly I've just got some new neighbours with cats, and sure enough I've got poo in my garden again. Invested in an unltrsonic cat scarer a few days ago and it's working so far...

Did think about a scarer
How far away does it need to to avoid giving the guinea pig a headache?
