Hello, more of a reader than a poster!

Anyway. I need a bit of welding done on rear box section on my car after 25 years of Scottish winters have done their best!

The rear subframe requires removal to repair this correctly which I can do when delivered to the repairer.

Can anyone recommend? I want a good lasting job, not a patch up. I have been recommended Kingspark Coachworks in Rutherglen. Anyone got any opinions on them?

Cheers

BTW I'm based in Cumbernauld.

Hi there,

I needed some rear chassis leg repair done to my Cavalier Turbo which also required the rear assembly to be dropped. The guy I used is a mobile welder from Peterhead called Sergiy. He has a website if you want to contact him www.weld-delux.co.uk He is really good and not too expensive at all.

I'd recommend Anderson's of Broadlees in Chapelton just below East Kilbride, Boss is Robert Anderson, best grease monkey is Bob Ballantyne and fabricator extraordinare is Barry. 01357 300233 is the number, and saying the vet sent you will probably get a 50% surcharge.

OK here is a piccie of the box section mentioned. Does not show a lot apart from the fact that it has rotted.

Most likely, both sides will need done. Believe it or not, it went through an MOT like that!!!
